We simulated 9 games between these 4 playoff teams, the first team to 5 wins. The Patriots @ Chiefs and the Rams @ Saints. The first thing we need to break down is each team’s overalls. Madden ranks each of these overalls based on each teams player rankings and not the teams season stats.
- Chiefs are ranked an 85 overall, 89 offense, and an 85 defense.
- Pats are ranked an 85 overall, 91 offense, and an 85 defense.
Madden has the Pats as a better offensive team but will that ranking may shrink when you add into the fact that the Pats will be playing in the Chiefs Home field. Which is a horribly hard place to win for opposing teams.
- Saints are ranked an 85 overall, 89 offense, and an 85 defense.
- Rams are ranked an 88 overall, 93 offense, and an 87 defense.
Madden is basically stating that the Rams are far better than the Saints across the board on the depth chart. Even with the home field advantage on the Saints side, it does not appear to look good for them according to Madden.
The Simulation Results:
Chiefs won 2 and the Pats 5 giving the Pats a large victory margin. When looking at the scores it looked like very close games between the two with it usually ending with only a 3 point victory.
Saints won 2 and the Rams won 5 which was the same as the other two teams but with much different score results. The Rams won by double digits most of the time and did not look to have much trouble in this game. Madden Gods Believe the Rams will face off against the Pats for an SB showdown.
