If you would like to support the work we put into this then please consider becoming a Patron! Even a dollar can go a long way and it is always very much appreciated!

If you do not see a QB that you want on this list, if you have a question regarding a QB, or if a trade is no longer working then let us know in the comments and we will take care of it.

    NOTES:

    • We are creating groups for all players on this list. You will see easy QBs to trade for, rookie QBs to trade for, and QBs that require one of our trade methods (SAR/SAT).
    • We created all of the information below in an Active Roster (Updated Rosters) via Online Mode. Make sure it says “Importing 2702 players” when the Active Roster is importing. Otherwise, you will not be in updated rosters. Furthermore, if you do choose “Active Roster”, Madden recommends starting in preseason week one (default); we also recommend starting in the preseason. There are certain high-overall players in the Free Agency (FA) of preseason week one that will benefit you in certain trades depending on the player you are trying to trade for. If you need to do the Stack and Release (SAR) simply grab the needed players for the trade as we explain and then advance to the regular season. The SAR will not work in the preseason.
    • We are going to go into detail on how to trade for each player. We will also include links to our contract tips that will apply for all of these players.
    • For users who are in Offline Mode, most of this information will be relevant, however, the trade may be slightly different but the SAR will not.
    • For users in a fantasy draft, trading, in general, is going to much different. The SAR and SAT methods will work just fine, but for specialty positions, you will have to find the key player because he most likely will be different.
    Easy QBs to Trade For:

The following QBs are the easiest to trade for; believe us when we say they are easy to trade for. They are all listed in alphabetical order by last name.

How to Trade for Tom Brady:

The Trade: Trade away a green interest 68-74 overall DT, a green interest 68-75 overall LE, and a 3rd round 2021 pick. Make sure to ask for picks back.

Note: You could use a green interest HB at a 75 or higher overall instead of either the DT or LE in order to use around a 5th round pick instead.

How to Trade for Kirk Cousins:

The Trade: Trade away a green interest 70+ overall ROLB, a green interest 70+ overall DT and a 5ht-7th round 2022 draft pick. Start high then go lower. Make sure to ask for picks back.

How to Trade for Jared Goff:

The Trade: Trade away a yellow interest 68-73 overall HB and a green interest 68-72 overall C. You need to ask for picks back. You could get back a 3rd-6th round 2021 pick.

How to Trade for Daniel Jones:

The Trade: Trade away a green interest 68-73 overall DT and a 5th round 2022 round draft pick. Make sure you ask for picks back! If you do not want to use your draft pick you could put up a yellow interest 68-73 overall HB instead. You still need to ask for a pick back otherwise you will be spending too much.

How to Trade for Jordan Love:

The Trade: Trade away a yellow interest 68-73 overall HB and add a 6th or a 5th round 2022 pick. In this situation, you will want to ask for picks back to make sure you are not overpaying.

How to Trade for Philip Rivers:

The Trade: Trade away a green interest 67-71 overall ROLB and a yellow interest 68-72 overall HB. You could get back a 5th-7th round 2021 pick.

How to Trade for Ben Roethlisberger:

The Trade: Trade away a yellow interest 68-72 overall HB and a yellow interest 65-70 overall RT. You will need to ask for picks back starting at a 4th round 2021 draft pick.

Note: The Steelers absolutely love RTs. They’re so desperate that you could use a 65 overall RT and go over halfway in the trade meter. Keep in mind that there are RTs out there who will show up as a red interest at a 65 overall as with most situations in the trade game. Maybe it’s the player’s hairstyle that they like.

How to Trade for Matthew Stafford:

The Trade: Trade away a green interest 71-75 overall ROLB, a green interest 71-75 overall MLB, and a 4th round 2021 draft pick. You can get picks back so do not be afraid to ask!

How to Trade for Jameis Winston:

The Trade: Trade away a green interest 68-73 overall LOLB. Make sure to ask for picks back; start from a 1st round 2021 pick and work your way down.

    Note: The Saints love LOLBs.

    Rookie QBs to Trade For:

How to Trade for Joe Burrow:

    The Method:

    1. Trade them a 67 overall or above QB for one of their lowest overall HBs, lineman, or any other player besides a QB. You need to keep them at a 53 man roster.
    2. Finally, trade them 3 QBs with a point man* for a draft pick.
    3. Go pick up your QB from the free agency.

How to Trade for Justin Herbert:

    SAT:

Utilize the free agency if you can.

    1. Trade for Tom Brady listed above.
    2. Trade Brady to the Chargers for a draft pick or whatever you can get from them.
    3. Now you can trade for Herbert by using a 70+ overall FS. If you need to add a pick start at the 2022 6th round draft pick and work your way down. Keep in mind that the Chargers love FSs.

    SAR:

Utilize the free agency if you can.

    1. Trade them a 67 overall or above QB for one of their lowest overall HBs, lineman, or any second-string player besides a QB. You need to keep them at a 53 man roster.
    2. Finally, trade them 3 QBs with a point man* for a draft pick.
    3. Go pick up your QB from the free agency.
QBs That Require a Specialty Trade Method:

All of the following QBs have a lot of value in the eye of the CPU. This means that a straight-up trade is not allowed, so we have a work-around for you. All of the following QBs on this list uses a brand new SAR method we call the two-wave SAR. If you want to learn more about it click here. They are all in alphabetical order by their last name.

    *Point Man:

This is a player who is a 67 overall and above. He is the player who is going to make sure that the opposing team will accept the trade. Every time you wave trade three players of the same position you will need a point man.

How to Trade for Josh Allen:

    The Method:

    1. Trade them a 67 overall or above QB for one of their lowest overall HBs, lineman, or any other player besides a QB.
    2. Finally, trade them 3 QBs with a point man* for a draft pick.
    3. Go pick up your QB from the free agency.

How to Trade for Lamar Jackson:

    The Method:

    1. Trade them a 67 overall or above QB for one of their lowest overall HBs, lineman, or any other player besides a QB.
    2. Finally, trade them 3 QBs with a point man* for a draft pick.
    3. Go pick up your QB from the free agency.

How to Trade for Patrick Mahomes:

    The Method:

    1. Trade them a 67 overall or above QB for one of their lowest overall HBs, lineman, or any other player besides a QB.
    2. Finally, trade them 3 QBs with a point man* for a draft pick.
    3. Go pick up your QB from the free agency.

NOTE: If you get Tyreek Hill then Mahomes is going to be harder to get. You will have to resort to the five-wave SAR instead.

      1. What did you try to trade them?
      2. What team are you on?
      3. Are you in Active Roster or Real-Life Roster?
      4. Are you in a fantasy draft?
      5. What year/week are you in?

Unfortunately, you are going to have to do our Two-Wave SAR method to get him. We will be updating his trade, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

You are going to have to do our Two-Wave SAR method to get him. You can also learn about it on this page under “QBs That Require a Specialty Trade Method“.
