Regression Trading works in two ways and can make you very rich.
Trade players away at the start or right before the start of their regression. Typically think of an age cut off at around 29 to 30 years old. You will see signs of it so make sure to pay attention to your player’s overalls. You can trade them for 1st round picks of next years if a CPU team exists in your league. Think of the business and keep it constantly profiting, never lose out of a good opportunity.
The second part of this method is trading for a player on another team that is starting to regress and is a high overall. Such guys like Bobby Wagner, Julio Jones, Luke Kuechily and other big named guys. When they start regressing you can trade for them fairly easy. At this point, you can profit from their contract, because the team you traded him from paid off his Signing Bonus. Which means you now you have him a lot cheaper and you could probably use him for a couple of years then trade him away with no Cap hit for a 1st round pick if a CPU team exists in your league.
Overall, if you get this process down you will be very difficult to stop. Know your league well enough to where you know when any high overall starts to regress or is close to it and capitalize on it. Keep profit in your mind at all times from trading your regressing players away for 1st round picks.
