After reading this guide you will not only know how to create a draft class in Madden 22 but you will also know how to import a draft class in Madden 22 Franchise Mode.

Create your own personal draft class then import it to a different franchise (as many as you want).

You will also learn that there is a specific time frame in which you can create and import a draft class.

You may run into an issue where you back out of the import process then you will not be able to get back in. Do not worry, I will cover how you can get back in the import settings.

What’s Changed About Draft Classes in Madden 22 Vs Madden 21?

There are not many changes in Madden besides the design. Year after this is true.

However, this year is different because some changes have been made to the location of certain settings.

In Madden 22, they have changed the settings locations of how you can download a draft class, which I explained in my post “Madden 22: How to Download a Draft Class“.

Otherwise, it is still the same as Madden 21 and below.

Why You Should NEVER use “Download from Madden Share”.

What is Download from Madden Share? Madden Share is the option to download a draft class from community files just as you would do in the main menu.

You should never use this option because it is glitchy and will not work for the most part. They have had issues on this matter for a few years now.

This is why I always recommend doing this in the main menu of Madden as I explained in my Madden 22: How to Download a Draft Class article.

How to Create and/or Import a Draft Class in Madden 22 Franchise Mode

All of the following steps are going to guide you through how to create a draft class and how to import a draft class in Madden 22.

RELATED: Madden 22 How to Download a Draft Class

Step One: First, you need to be in week 3. Any time before week 3 will not work. You can, however, go past week three.

Step Two: While in week three, head to the “Home” tab and choose “Scout College Players” below “Activities” as shown in the screenshot below.

Step Three: Once you click on “Scout College Players”, a dialogue will pop up giving you three choices: “Auto-Generated Rookies”, Download from Madden Share”, and “Import Local File”.

Before you continue on make sure to read both options and choose the one that best fits your needs.

Option One: If you are creating your own draft class then choose “Auto-Generated Rookies”.

Once you have clicked on “Auto-Generated Rookies” you will see a bunch of, well, auto-generated rookies.

You can then edit those players by clicking on the “Edit Players” button just as shown in the screenshot below.

Then, you will open up three options: 1. Download From Madden Share, 2. Edit Draft Class, and 3. Import Local File.

Choose “Edit Draft Class”. You will now be able to edit your own draft class as shown below.

Once you are finished editing the players then choose “Export File” to use this draft class for any of your franchises or if you would like to share your draft class with the community.

If you only want to use this draft class for one franchise then choose “Save and Exit”. Continue to step four.

Option Two: If you already have a draft class that you need to import then choose “Import Local File” as shown in the screenshot below then head to step four.

NOTE: If you chose “Auto-Generated Rookies” by accident, you will still have the option to import your local file by clicking on the “Edit Players” button as shown in the screenshot here. Then just choose “Import Local File”.

IMPORTANT: If you go through several weeks of scouting and you import a local file your scouting points will be lost.

Step Four: In the “Import Local File” menu, you will be able to import your created draft class that you exported to any franchise you have started.

How to Get Back to Choosing A Draft Class

If you backed out or disregarded the “Choose A Draft Class” pop-up menu, you will find that you cannot get back to it when clicking on “Scout College Players”.

Do not think you only have one shot because that is simply not true.

All you need to do is head into the “Scout College Players” menu and choose “Edit Players” as shown in the screenshot below. This will get you back to being able to import or create your draft class.

I hope you now fully understand how to create and/or import a draft class in Madden 22. If you have any questions then please let us know in the comments below and we will get back to you.
