If you ever wondered how to make a family portrait in The Sims 4 for console then you are in luck! PC gamers get all the fun; they can do family portraits so much easier than console players can. However, that does not mean that we cannot figure out a way around this. To create family portraits we had to think outside the box and, thankfully, that is exactly what we did.

  1. You will need any kind of easel and a few sims in your family that can paint decently. It won’t be hard to get your sims painting level up enough to get “Paint from Reference” unlocked, which you can unlock within 5 to 10 minutes of real-time if even that.
  2. Painting from a reference allows you to take a picture of what you want to paint. So you can time it up where you have the sim you want to paint be in the room at the same time as you start the painting, then take a snapshot of the sim you want to paint. Just make sure they are facing you.

That’s it! It was that simple. Hopefully, this helps and you end up enjoying your Sims 4 just a little bit more. If you have any questions or comments then leave them in the comments below and we will get back to you!
