Rookies in Madden 22 Franchise Mode are extremely valuable. So much so that you cannot trade for them unless you use our signature Madden 22 Trade Glitch/Cheat. Nonetheless, we are going to show you how to trade for young superstars in Madden 22 Franchise.

However, if the above Madden 22 trade exploit is against your league rules – or whatever the reason – you will learn how to trade for these young superstars in Madden 22, nonetheless. This is straight-up trading.

After reading this article, you will know how to trade for Joe Burrow, Jonathan Taylor, D’Andre Swift, Ceedee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, Tee Higgins, Henry Ruggs III, Devin White, and so much more.

NOTE: We will update this when Madden comes out with their final roster update.

The First Year in Madden 22 Franchise Mode

During your franchise, you will see that trading for the players listed above among many others is extremely expensive, especially in the first year of your franchise.

However, what we are going to show you is something that will make them cheaper by just utilizing the Madden 22 trade logic. This means that virtually no young player is off-limits.

If you add this method with our Practice Squad Signing Method you will not only get these elite players but you will also be able to sign them to 7-year deals for $3.85 million.

Trading in Madden 22 is a lot easier than it was in Madden 21 and we have found some interesting things about the first year in Madden 22 when comparing Madden 21 with Madden 22.

What is the 1-year Player Trading Method (1-Year PTM)?

This is where you go after players that are 1-year pros that were previously drafted extremely high and are destined for greatness. Madden values players in the trade game in two different categories.

  1. High overall players. High overall players are obviously valued higher and are harder to trade for. There is no real explanation needed on why this is the case.
  2. Rookies. Rookies are valued very high in the trade game because a team is not going to trade away a player they just drafted without even seeing him play yet. It wouldn’t make sense and it is actually a good thing that Madden implemented this.

For this Madden 22 trade tip, we are going to use one player as an example. That player is Trey Lance. Lance is very expensive his rookie year just as most rookies are. This is because EA has set the A.I. to interpret rookies as some of the most valuable players in Madden 22 as explained in the What is the 1-Year Player Trading Method section above.

However, there is a workaround to this so that you can obtain Trey Lance as your starting QB. The workaround is essentially patience.

NOTE: Before you start this method you should have a benchmark. Trade a 2nd or 1st round pick for Trey Lance or any other rookie you want to try this on and see the results. Then, continue on and use a similar pick to see where it is at a year later.

The first thing you are going to want to do is to be in the following season (2022). Whether you advance or play it through, it does not matter.

A year later in your Madden 22 franchise and you can now trade for 1-year pros. Since they are no longer a rookie, they’re less valuable.

This is great to know and you can apply this method year after year with the same results. The players you can do this with to name off a few are as follows:
