How to Upgrade Your Tight Ends in Madden 23
When upgrading your tight end you want to upgrade the opposite package of what he is good at. The only package that this does not work for is the “Blocking” package. Never upgrade a tight end’s blocking package unless it is absolutely necessary for your offense.
If your tight end is a “Possession” tight end you will want to upgrade his “Vertical Threat” package instead of a possession package. The reason for this is your tight end will still grow his possession overall along with his vertical threat at the same time if you do this.
If your tight end is a heavy “Vertical Threat” tight end then you will upgrade his “Possession” package. His vertical threat overall will increase along with his possession overall.
Your tight end will never stop increasing his overall while you are upgrading his weaknesses and in turn, you will make your tight end a very balanced tight end.
If your tight end is balanced (vertical threat is equal to his possession) then go with vertical threat until it takes the lead by a few overall points. Another thing that can be done is to just upgrade one and then the other the next and just go back and forth like that but we don’t really recommend that.
After you adopt this strategy you will have the best tight ends in your league. Let everyone else upgrade their tight ends the old-school way.
