In this Maneater: All Bounty Hunters and Evolution Upgrades article, you will learn how to defeat every Bounty Hunter in Maneater as well as learn what the evolution upgrade/perk is for each Maneater Bounty Hunter Boss. We will also be giving some tips on how to defeat certain Bounty Hunters but, for most Bounty Hunters, it involves the same tactics to defeat each one. See our General Tips below.

You want to defeat every Bounty Hunter as soon as you can to level up your shark’s evolution and unlock evolution perks. Keep in mind, however, that some of the rewards require you to be a certain age, so they will be useless early on. If your shark is upgraded earlier on in the game, it becomes easier to manage. You will become faster, stronger, and gain abilities that will give you an edge throughout the rest of the game. When your Infamy Rank increases, it will get tougher when going against certain Maneater Bounty Hunter Bosses, but we will cover that in this article.

General Tips on How to Defeat Every Maneater Bounty Hunters:

  • Always use your evade button to avoid the hunter’s shots. So use your evade, then bite the jetski, boat, etc. and evade again. Continue this strategy while you do not have any body upgrades; this includes your Tiger Body upgrade.
  • Once you have body upgrades, you will be able to use your evade button to destroy the hunter’s rides. This means you will be able to destroy their rides while evading most shots.
  • Early on, you should aim for ripping the Maneater Bounty Hunter off of their ride especially when they think it’s smart to do their job on a jetski.
  • Humans do not give you enough nutrients so do not eat the hunters; your health will barely increase, so it is not worth it. Spit them out and continue the attack. This will also make you a wide open target.
  • When going against hunters, your goal is to always, always, always, destroy their ride. If you get a hunter in your mouth, spit them out. Doin so will level up your Infamy Rank the fastest.
  • You do not have to eat the Maneater Bounty Hunter boss to get the Rewards… Just destroy their ride.
  • There is not a specific location a Bounty Hunter is in. They will pop up as soon as you level up your Infamy Rank.

There are specific tips to defeat certain Maneater Bounty Hunters as they will have special equipment. Those tips will be listed to the appropriate Maneater Bounty Hunter Bosses below.

Tips on How to Defeat Cdr. Percy Metcalf and Capt. Robert Brunlett:

Cdr. Percy Metcalf is the first to introduce those electric coils underneath his ship. Capt. Robert Brunlett will do the same. This will project a range of electricity and if you get caught in it your health will decrease. While this is a pain you should not just attack his boat. Instead, use the explosives they throw in the water to your advantage.

For example, you bite the explosive and tailwhip it at Cdr. Percy Metcalf’s boat. A few of those will deactivate the electricity. Remember, you can hold onto the tailwhip button and it will slow downtime. This will give you the opportunity to take your time and aim for ultimate accuracy.
